The primary function of the positioning cushions is to prevent decubitus ulcers and increase the comfort of the chronically lying or post-operative patient.
Due to their versatile nature, the cushions are ideal as aids for positioning and supporting the patient in a specific position. The cushions relieve pressure on the patient’s body by spreading the pressure over a larger area and relieving the pain of the injured area, which significantly improves patient comfort.
In the care of the long-term lying patient, an indispensable aid to the daily routine.
Positioning cushions are filled with EPS polystyrene balls of carefully selected diameter, which ensures their optimal fit to the user’s body. This filling is characterized by exceptional durability – it retains its shape, does not deform or crumble. Thanks to the free movement of EPS balls, even with the smallest changes in the patient’s position, there is a gentle stimulation of tissues, acting like a micro massage.
The anti-decubitus cushion is equipped with a double cover to ensure durability and safe use.
- Internal cover – made of fine mesh, effectively protects the filling from accidental leakage in case of product damage.
- Outer cover – created from high-quality polyurethane fabric, characterized by resistance to liquid penetration, vapor permeability and elasticity. It is pleasant to the touch, easy to disinfect and clean. In addition, the PU surface exhibits antibacterial and antifungal properties, inhibits the growth of dust mites and meets high standards of fire resistance.
Composition: 45% PE and 55% PU.
The cover can be washed in a washing machine on short cycles at 40 degrees and disinfected with antiseptics (Preparations containing alcohol up to 70% ; chlorine up to 1000pppm, QUAC) Disinfection and fogging with products containing H2O2 is not advisable.
